My name is Ruben Cassiano, and I started my career at the age of 18 as a commercial apprentice in a film production company. I knew very little about visual arts back then, but I was fascinated by it from the very first minute. Over time, I was able to get away from my desk more and more and actively participate in film production. That's where I first came into contact with cameras, lighting, and directing. After completing my education, I decided to leave home and get a steady job that would allow me to pay my rent while pursuing my interests in photography, film and music. As I was good with people and had a strong connection to the snowboard community due to my previous participation in competitions, I started working as a salesman at beach mountain, one of the biggest snowboard and skateboard stores in Switzerland. I stayed there for a few years before moving to Carhartt, where I was promoted to manager. Although I was happy and successful, I knew something was missing. I always had the desire to study, and I also liked the idea of doing it in a field related to art. I applied to the Lucerne University of the Arts and was accepted. Over 3 years, I learned to navigate the visual communication field and benefited from highly specialized tutors and professors. Now I can work on complex projects and ideas using a wide range of skills in graphic and motion design, photography, film, and editing.
